This week (August 28th to September 1st), Aerom is hosting a delegation from Ecuador. The delegation consists of 6 representatives from the Municipality of Guayaquil, specializing in urban mobility, urban planning, and public works.
Guayaquil, Ecuador’s second-largest city, only surpassed by the capital, Quito, boasts the country’s largest population, with 2.698 million residents (2019). Furthermore, it is home to the nation’s primary port and serves as its economic hub.
This visit marks a significant step forward in the research and eventual implementation of the Aeromovel in the city of Guayaquil. This phase is crucial for the project, which aims to provide a comfortable, safe, and environmentally friendly transportation alternative for both local residents and tourists.
During this encounter, the members of the delegation will have the opportunity to get up close with the progress of the Aeromovel project at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo, Brazil, as well as the Aeromovel Line at Porto Alegre Airport in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. They will also witness the vehicle manufacturing process at Marcopolo in Caxias do Sul, RS, and gain insights into the structure of the Coester Group. The delegation’s agenda also includes meetings with the Municipalities of Guarulhos and São Leopoldo.
We believe that this international collaboration will drive progress in the field of sustainable transportation in Ecuador.
