This afternoon (September 27), the Aeromovel vehicle successfully passed through the Track Switch Area (AMV) during commissioning tests at Guarulhos Airport, marking a significant milestone in the system’s implementation process.
The track switch is a critical component in rail systems, requiring fast and secure maneuvers. The Aeromovel’s patented AMV, designed for its unique propulsion system, enables smooth and safe transitions between tracks in just seconds. This performance ensures that the travel time remains on schedule, reinforcing the system’s reliability and efficiency.
The Aeromovel technology is now in its final phase of installation at São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport. With stations at all three terminals and a connection to the CPTM commuter train system, the Aeromovel will link passengers to Line 13 of the train network. Spanning 2,700 meters and with a capacity to transport 2,000 passengers per hour in each direction, the Aeromovel will provide a fast and convenient solution for moving passengers between terminals and the train station.
