Biggest Crane in Operation in Brazil Takes Center Stage in Final Assembly of Aeromovel System’s Section 2 in Guarulhos

This past weekend marked a crucial milestone in the construction of the Aeromovel at Guarulhos International Airport. The final assembly of the highly anticipated Section 2 of the Aeromovel System is well underway, driven by a remarkable logistical feat and the imposing presence of Brazil’s largest operational crane.

With an incredible lifting capacity of up to 1000 tons, this steel giant moves on tracks, requiring a carefully constructed runway to ensure its precise maneuverability. The assembly of the crane, a true engineering feat, demands detailed coordination involving two other cranes and the mobilization of an impressive fleet of 50 trucks with specialized equipment.

This monumental stage is an event worth witnessing, showcasing not only the technical and operational capabilities of the AeroGRU Consortium but also the engineering vision guiding every step of this endeavor. Meticulous planning and effective logistics are crucial for the success of this undertaking, and Aerom takes pride in leading a consortium comprised of equally dedicated companies: FBS Construtora, HTB Engenharia e Construção, and TS Infraestrutura.

It’s worth witnessing this stage up close, as it creates a pivotal point in the Aeromovel System. This innovative and efficient connection between Guarulhos International Airport terminals and the CPTM train is taking shape, marking another significant advancement in Aerom’s mission to revolutionize urban mobility through sustainable solutions.
