Aerom welcomes delegation from Costa Rica

The contract for the implementation studies of the Aeromovel was signed in May between Aerom, Consórcio Movilisa, Incofer – Costa Rican Railway Institute, and the Municipality of Alajuela.

This week, we received a distinguished delegation from Costa Rica, composed of 18 representatives who are collaborating with us on an inclusive and sustainable mobility project for the metropolitan region of San Jose. The delegation includes five national deputies, representatives from three municipalities in the region, as well as the president of the country’s Society of Engineering, among other business leaders.

With approximately six kilometers in length, the Aeromovel will connect the new FECOSA bus terminal, located in the city center, to the future terminal at INVU Las Cañas and the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). This is the pilot line of a sustainable mobility strategy for the entire metropolitan region of San Jose.

This visit marks an important advancement in the stage of technical and economic feasibility studies for the implementation of the Aeromovel in Costa Rica. These studies are crucial steps in the project, which aims to provide a comfortable, safe, and environmentally friendly transportation alternative for both local residents and tourists.

During this meeting, the members of the delegation will have the opportunity to closely experience the Aeromovel technology and progress in the economic structuring of the project. We believe that this international collaboration will further strengthen the ties between our countries and drive progress in the field of sustainable transportation, as Costa Rica is a global reference in sustainability.r strengthen the ties between our countries and drive progress in the area of sustainable transportation.
