On October 17, Aerom participated in the lecture “Innovation in Motion: the engineering behind Aeromovel and the potential of the Aeromet project”, hosted by the School of Engineering at the University of Montevideo, Uruguay.
Representing Aerom, engineer Diego Abs led the presentation, introducing the core engineering principles of the Aeromovel System, its performance, and its potential to enhance urban mobility in Montevideo.
The Aeromet project proposes the use of Aeromovel technology to connect the metropolitan area of Montevideo — from Tres Cruces to Parque Roosevelt — in just 23 minutes. The initiative offers an efficient, sustainable, and low-impact transportation solution designed to improve urban connectivity and reduce emissions.
Developed by Aerom in partnership with Uruguayan companies Berkes and Teyma, the project adapts Aeromovel technology to local conditions, reinforcing a shared commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility. The event fostered an inspiring exchange of ideas among students, professors, and industry professionals, highlighting the importance of international collaboration in building smarter, more connected cities.
