The 2024 City Emerging Technologies Index (CETI) has named San Jose, San Francisco, New York, Washington, and Seattle as the nation’s leading urban hubs for innovation and technological advancement.

Sponsored by NYU SPS Dean Angie Kamath and the Emerging Technologies Collaborative, the CETI report evaluates the 55 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. on their ability to adopt and foster emerging technologies. The goal? To create vibrant, desirable places to live, work, and innovate.

By analyzing policies, infrastructure, social dynamics, and economic conditions, the index offers valuable insights for urban planners, policymakers, businesses, and researchers.
