Coester Group Hosts Its First Innovation Week

Between July 21 and 25, 2025, the Coester Group held its First Innovation Week — a groundbreaking initiative that reinforced the company’s commitment to the future, creativity, and the development of smart solutions. Over five days, employees engaged in an intense schedule that included internal and external lectures, a technical visit to Instituto Caldeira — the largest innovation hub in southern Brazil, located in Porto Alegre — and the much-anticipated Ideathon, a collaborative idea marathon focused on operational efficiency.

The week also marked the launch of the new Best Ideas program, now supported by Artificial Intelligence to enhance the evaluation and implementation of suggestions. The initiative further strengthened employee protagonism and promoted a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.

Another highlight of the event was the awards ceremony for the 2024/2025 edition of the Best Ideas program, recognizing employees who stood out with transformative solutions. The top three projects were celebrated in a special moment, honoring creativity, teamwork, and innovative thinking:

  • 1st Place – Luana Fortes – Improvement in the Proposal Preparation and Order Configuration Process
  • 2nd Place – Thiago Gomes da Silva – Gear Manufacturing Using Powder Metallurgy/Sintering Process
  • 3rd Place – Cleiton Gallas and Ronaldo Engel – Reduction of Setup Time and Standard Cover Fixation

Program highlights included:

  • Lectures with innovation and technology experts, such as Prof. Silvio Bitencourt (Tecnosinos) and Prof. Leandro Corso (UCS), who addressed artificial intelligence on a global scale;
  • Workshop on mental tools for the creative process, with Daniela Piten – HR Coordinator;
  • Visit to Instituto Caldeira with the Innovation Committee;
  • Ideathon focused on “Efficiency in the Delivery of Assembly Part Packages,” bringing together multidisciplinary teams to develop applicable solutions for the company’s routine.

Innovation Week not only celebrated but reaffirmed Coester Group’s ongoing commitment to innovation. With a renewed structure and a dedicated committee, we continue to strengthen our processes, encouraging and stimulating the participation of all. The Group’s innovative DNA, now revitalized, continues to guide our journey — inspiring us to embrace the new and trust in the transformative potential of each employee who contributes daily to building our future.
