Redundancy in Power Supply: Ensuring Continuous Operation of the Aeromovel

The Aeromovel system sets a new standard in urban transportation by integrating reliability principles from commercial aviation. At its core, this technology is built on comprehensive system redundancy, minimized dead weight, and a relentless pursuit of efficiency and performance. These attributes not only distinguish the Aeromovel but also ensure an exceptional level of reliability and safety.

Designed as a non-stop system, the Aeromovel is engineered to operate continuously, even under adverse conditions. This is achieved through meticulous redundancy planning, eliminating single points of failure. In practical terms, this means that a failure in any component or subsystem does not impact overall operation, ensuring uninterrupted service and passenger safety.

Primary Power Supply Redundancy

A key element of this reliability is redundancy in the power supply. The Aeromovel can be powered either by the local electricity grid or by an on-site generator plant, capable of maintaining full operational capacity indefinitely. This setup ensures that in the event of a power outage or disruption from the main grid, the system’s operation remains unaffected, allowing the Aeromovel to continue functioning seamlessly.

Redundant Vehicle Power System

In addition to primary power redundancy, the Aeromovel vehicles themselves are equipped with redundant power systems. The vehicles’ energy collectors are arranged in parallel, meaning that even if one set fails, the system continues to deliver the necessary power for operation, ensuring the service remains uninterrupted.

Redundant Energy Distribution System

The Aeromovel’s energy distribution network is also designed with high redundancy. It features a medium-voltage ring that interconnects all the system’s electrical substations. This configuration allows for efficient and resilient energy distribution, ensuring that a single conductor failure does not disrupt the power supply, thereby maintaining continuous operation.

UPS Redundancy

Critical Aeromovel components requiring uninterrupted power are connected to a dual Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system. This ensures that even if the primary power source fails, these vital systems continue to function without interruption, safeguarding both the system’s efficiency and safety.

Through these layers of redundancy, the Aeromovel system not only excels in safety and reliability but also underscores Aerom’s commitment to innovation and excellence in urban mobility solutions. The technology is engineered to meet future transportation challenges, ensuring continuous and secure operation even under the most demanding conditions.
